There's is lots to see and do in Suffolk!!
Here are some links to local facilities, and other potentially useful information for you, with a brief explanation about each.

Aldeburgh Productions are responsible for a wide range of events across the year held at the wonderful Snape Maltings Concert Hall, the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh, and elsewhere in the locality, especially in June (classical Festival) and August (wide ranging Proms), tel 01728 687110.

Aldeburgh Summer Theatre for weekly performances of comedy, thrillers, drama in Aldeburgh late July and through August, with longer programme in Southwold.

The Tourist Board in Aldeburgh, tel 01728 453637 are very helpful about what is going on in the area. Ask for the "A Day Out in Suffolk" leaflet to be sent to you. Boat trips operate from Orford, Waldringfield, Ipswich and Flatford.

Easton Farm Park is a great spot for children to see, feed, and stroke farm animals.

English Heritage administer Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle and can advise an opening times, special events etc.

Historic houses are at Helmingham Hall (Grade 1 gardens), Otley Hall and many others; also ask the Tourist Board for the "Invitation to View" leaflet.

National Trust have a magnificent site at Dunwich, and at Sutton Hoo near Woodbridge.

Nurseries abound, large and small, general and specialist. From Notcutts in Woodbridge to the Walled Garden at Farnham.

Opera East usually hold performances in Orford Church in late July.

RSPB have one of the UK's best Reserves at Minsmere.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust have several sites of great interest.

Swimming pools are to be found at Leiston and Woodbridge (ask for information at the Tourist Office)

Thorpeness Windmill and the Mere are wonderful places to idle away some hours. Contact the Visitor Centre on 01394 384948.

Wingfield Arts mount outdoor events in July and August, many at Framlingham Castle, and have a permanent arts centre at Wingfield. Tel 01378 384505.

The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich, for excellent drama across the year.
